Containers

This is where the number of containers used to hold your mailing is entered, or automatically populated. These numbers help determine how many container labels are printed.

Note: The Containers information is editable when you know the details of the mailing (i.e. when Mailing Type Full Mailing - One Deposit, or Partial Mailing - Details Known is selected you know how many containers you will be using).

Enter the number of containers used: optional

Monos: enter the number of Monotainers used to hold the mailing (up to 4 digits). A monotainer is a large, collapsible metal cage used to transport containers and/or brick-piled mail items between large volume mailers and post offices.

Skids/Pallets: enter the number of Skids/Pallets used to hold the mailing(up to 4 digits). A skid, also referred to as a pallet, is a wooden/plastic/aluminum platform for the conveyance of containers.

Flats Tubs: enter the number of hard-sided Flat Tubs used to hold the mailing (up to 4 digits). A Flat Tub is a hard-sided container used primarily to transport large items (Oversize (O/S) mail)

Lettertainers: enter the number of hard-sided Lettertainers used to hold the mailing (up to 4 digits). A Lettertainer is a hard-sided container used for the transport of small and medium items (Short and Long (S/L) mail).

Bags: enter the number of Bags used to hold the mailing (up to 4 digits). Bags can be fabrene or canvas Small and/or Large.

Note: If the mailing contains Machineable Mail, the mail must be placed in hard-sided containers and inducted at a Canada Post approved mechanized mail processing plant.
