Providing proof of age upon delivery

If the concierge is authorized to receive the item on behalf of the receiver and the concierge meets the proof of age requirements, we’ll deliver the package to the concierge. The receiver is responsible for giving the concierge permission to receive deliveries on their behalf.

If the item can’t be delivered, we’ll leave a delivery notice card with the address of the post office and information about how to pick up the package in your mailbox. You will need to bring the delivery notice card, government-issued  photo identification  and sign for the package before it’s handed to you at the post office.

If there's an authorized central mailroom and the individual meets the proof of age requirements, we deliver the package there. Otherwise, we leave a Delivery Notice Card with pickup instructions in the mailbox or mailroom. You will need to bring the Delivery Notice Card, government-issued photo identification and sign for the package before it’s handed to you at the post office.

Students without government-issued photo identification  matching the package address can provide proof of residency instead.

Hotels can receive packages on behalf of their registered guests provided the individual at the front desk accepting the delivery meets the proof of age requirement.

If the hotel doesn’t accept the package on behalf of their guest, we’ll leave a Delivery Notice Card with the address of the post office and information about how you can pick up your package with the front desk. You will need to bring the Delivery Notice Card, government-issued photo identification  along with proof of stay at the hotel and sign for the package at the post office.
