The window of time to be able to pay for duty and taxes in advance is limited. To avoid missing the opportunity to pay online, we encourage you to sign up to be notified if any duty and taxes are owing on a package sent to you.
There are 3 ways that you can be notified:

Sign up for automatic tracking When you sign up, you’ll automatically get email notifications for all your auto-tracked packages. You can also enable push notifications that will notify you when an auto-tracked item has duty and taxes owing. Visit the automatic tracking page on our website or download the mobile app.

Sign up for email or text notifications Sign up to receive email or text notifications and you’ll be notified when you have duty and taxes owing. Once you sign up, you can also enable push notifications on your phone.

Track your item online or on the Canada Post mobile app

Select "Get text notifications" or "Get email notifications" near the delivery status

Complete and submit the request form
