The Royal Philatelic Society of Canada - Commemorative Envelope

May 30, 2003

To honour the 75th annual convention of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC), Canada Post has issued this collectible commemorative envelope. The RPSC's roots can be traced back to the founding of the Canadian Philatelic Association in 1887, but it wasn't until 1959 that the association received its current name. The RPSC speaks for Canadian philately nationally and internationally, and has played a major role in establishing the Philatelic Book Collection of the National Library of Canada. The 2003 annual convention will be held in Hanover, Ontario.
