Known originally as the 'Arenas' and then later as the 'St. Patricks,' the Toronto Maple Leafs came into being 75 years ago when a young entrepreneur and coach named Conn Smythe purchased the team. The Leafs' long and glorious history includes twelve Stanley Cup titles and more than 5,000 games.
