Ottawa (Ont.) – With the Holiday Season and the postal service’s busiest time of the year just around the corner, Canada Post is pleased to add to its retail network the Shoppers Drug Mart at 1865 Scugog street in Port Perry, Ont. Mr. Doug Brown is the pharmacist/owner of this Shoppers Drug Mart. The new postal outlet opens for service today, offering all standard Canada Post products in addition to extended business hours.

“The needs of our customers are ever-changing and that is all the more apparent as we head into this very busy Holiday season,” says Doug Jones, Senior Vice-President, Delivery and Customer Experience at Canada Post. “As the country’s home delivery company, Canada Post is being proactive in responding to the noticeable shift toward online shopping and use of our parcel delivery system.

“Partnering with local entrepreneurs, such as Mr. Brown, enables us to continually improve upon the services we offer and to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations in ‘Delivering the online world’ to all Canadians,” added Mr. Jones.

“With the addition of Canada Post products and services, we are very excited to expand our service offering once again at our Port Perry Shoppers Drug Mart," explained Mr. Brown. “With expanded hours of operation, a full range of postal services and friendly, knowledgeable staff, Shoppers Drug Mart remains committed to meet the health, beauty and convenience needs of the residents of Scugog and North Durham region.”

The new postal outlet will offer the standard postal services including parcel pickup, stamps and shipping, post office boxes, money orders, government forms including Revenue Canada and Passport Canada, and debit and credit card payments. Services will be available six days a week from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
